Women’s Economic Empowerment

At the request of the women of the village, the Luwai Foundation supported the launch of a full-service catering company.  The business is off to a promising start, with initial profits already reinvested in agricultural seeds for the members.

In the second half of this year, we plan to expand operations by investing in a storage facility and purchasing a light truck to support logistics and deliveries.

Looking ahead to 2026, we will join forces with the women’s group to establish an organic chicken farm. This farm will supply eggs and poultry to lodges and restaurants in the Arusha and Moshi regions.

Through these initiatives, we aim to create sustainable income streams and strengthen the long-term financial independence of the women involved.
